Oh god what a question, this could be a long list but I will start it off with a few reasons:- High Taxes Bad Weather Heavy Traffic And the coutry is going down hill fast. Sure there will be lots more reasons added as we go on, will be interesting to hear other peoples views. |

Im gonna be leaving asap for pretty much the same reasons, for instance my suma and cummunity tax this year was about 400 euro here my council tax is £1200, everything you do here you get taxed on. if it wasnt spain id be off elsewhere. i will come back on visits footie etc so Spain suits just 2 hours away. |

My wife and I have been here six for over years now, and do not regret a single minute of that time. We live in Denia on the Costa Blanca and find our spanish neighbours very friendly, helpful and a joy to live alongside. Our lifestyle is very comfortable, although I have created a little business for myslf just "to keep busy". I do however just wish that I 'knew back then', (when we first arrived in Spain) what we know now! If you are thinking of moving to Spain, I advise you to do it!! |

I loe it here and would never return to the UK. The contact I still have with friends back there is all about how bad things are. Viva Espana! |

I am leaving Spain. Having lived there for 10 years have had enough. The bureaucracy drives you wild, the pound has collapsed, we have had the coldest winter ever in houses that are ill suited for it, TV gone and just fed up with it all. Sorry, it's just the way we are now but we tried. |

Love it here. The bureaucracy is just the Spanish way of doing things, if you learn some of the language you'll be amazed at how much bureaucracy disappears! Its a healthy lifestyle here, its cheaper providing you fully adopt the spanish life and don't expect English brands, papers, drinks etc. If you continue to buy english you will pay through the nose. I had a succesful business in the UK, together with all the stress and bureaucracy of the UK glad I sold up and moved here. I for one will even be giving up my UK passport, after I have been resident here for 10 years, and getting a Spanish one. just my humble opinion of course. cheers |
