I here that Sky are clamping down on the channels available on the Costa's. what is the situation now and is it worth getting one of these tv packages you see advertised? |

Sky TV has gone berserk....we still have a lot of channel s in English, but they tend to change, be deleted or added to by the week!! Still the basic ones are still there....BBC1, 2, ITV1 and 2, Living, UKTV Gold, and several others, so no cause for complaint. Shop around and get the best deal. |

What with all the problems with TV I wondered what channels people now have access to if any? |

If you have your own satellite dish and SKY box you can get whatever channels are on the subscription card you use with it. Depending on your location and the spot the dish is in you may lose some channels later in the day/night such as BBC2 as the signal gets weaker here. The main issues recently with TV is if you use a cable TV provider as they are not permitted to retransmit most of the channels and that's why packages have been changing. Answer is to get a big dish and a Sky box! |

I have the Torresat system and have 65 channels. I get more Premiership football than is available on Sky for less than half the cost of Sky. I have a tiny dish rather than those big dishes that take up half of your garden. The Installer was great and always at the end of the phone if I have any questions I would recommend him. Call Peter on 635 416 255. |

I agree with what Julia is saying, the way forward is getting a SKY box and big Dish. But one thing she forgot to mention is that you need a phone line to activate your SKY card otherwise it will not work. As for the re-broadcasting companies like Torresat & Simulstat they are only a short term solution as eventually they will be all shut down by the end of the year like Telemicro was last year. |
